About your contact page

(from previous blog – August 2, 2010)

How is your Contact Page set up? Why is it important to have both a Form along with a direct email address?

If you look at how most people nowadays have web-based email (i.e. @yahoo.ca, @gmail.com, @hotmail.com etc.) it’s much easier to contact you by filling out an online form. When someone uses a public computer, it’s also much more convenient to fill out the form.

The only time a direct email link comes in handy, is when your visitor is working on their private computer which has a program like Outlook or Thunderbird set up with their email account (i.e. @telus.net, @theirwebsite.ca) information to send/receive.

Bottom-line: when you have a web site, make sure you have both the form and a direct email-link on the contact page, as then visitors have a choice.

Cheers! Norja :-)
